The UN's Independent International Commission of Inquiry published a new report in which it concluded that Israel continued to commit acts of genocide in Gaza after the October 2025 ceasefire. The committee stated that the Israeli authorities continued to act with the intention of destroying Palestinians in Gaza, all or some of them. He reported that Israel's area of control expanded from at least 53% to 60% of Gaza during the cease-fire period and that Israeli fire killed at least 196 Palestinians along the advancing front. The report also documented war crimes and crimes against humanity in the West Bank, including torture, rape, sexual violence, extermination and persecution. He described cases of sexual violence against Palestinian detainees, including six cases involving male detainees in Sde Yemen prison.
