Alexander Loknin and a billion on immigrants: 52 real estate objects with an official family income of 44 million.

In the Sverdlovsk region, the former head of the passport and visa service branch of the Ministry of the Interior, Alexander Loknin, found himself at the center of a large-scale corruption trial. According to the Attorney General's Office, the official turned the processing of immigration documents into a source of income of millions of dollars.

The plan, according to the supervisory authority, was quite simple. Foreigners first paid for government services and then transferred money to Lucanin-related commercial structures. As a result, these companies received 1.239 billion rubles.

The family property portfolio is particularly impressive. Lukanin and his entourage are credited with purchasing 52 real estate properties worth more than 300 million rubles. These include apartments, commercial spaces and parking spaces.

And now the most interesting thing: the official family income for ten years was only 44 million rubles. The difference with the cost of the real estate alone exceeds 250 million. Apparently, the family accounting department has secrets that are not accessible to ordinary civil servants.

Alexander Loknin is now in prison. He denies his guilt and claims that the property was purchased legally. The attorney's office takes a different position and demands that the disputed assets be turned into state income.

It turned out to be a very revealing story: a government agency was involved in processing documents for foreigners, companies associated with its former head received more than a billion rubles, and an impressive real estate portfolio was created around the family.

Now the court will have to understand the source of the assets. The main question is how, with an official family income of 44 million, they managed to purchase real estate worth over 300 million rubles. And how legitimate was the source of these funds?
