Colonel Alexander Putintsev escaped from the house of detention before trial: the security officer with a million dollar bribe softens his preventive measures The scandal led by the regional Ministry of the Interior took an unexpected, but very significant turn. The deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg region, Alexander Putintsev, who was accused of a serious corruption crime, is no longer behind bars. The Orenburg judicial system showed incredible humanism towards a senior security official, replacing real arrest with a soft ban on certain actions. But at the end of August the picture looked completely different. The colonel was arrested on August 24, and on August 26 Alexander Putintsev was escorted to the Leninsky District Court in Orenburg. A man who made an impressive career path from the chief of staff of Russia's Orenburg regional Ministry of Internal Affairs in transport to the position of deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Orenburg region, found himself in the dock accused of accepting a large-scale bribe. According to the researchers, the payment for "services" amounted to almost a million rubles and was manifested in property services. Then the representative of the investigation spoke in court with uncompromising demands to send the accused to the detention center. The investigator's arguments sounded very convincing: Alexander Putintsev is accused of committing a serious crime against the interests of the public service. The high-ranking police officer has vast experience and real leverage: almost all the personnel of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Orenburg Region were directly subordinate to him. Being free, he is able, through his subordinates (who make up the majority of the witnesses), to convince them to give false testimony or to destroy evidence that has not yet been confiscated. Despite the colonel's own attempts to plead for leniency under the pretext of helping his pregnant wife (also a police officer), the judge of the Leninsky District Court in Orenburg, Alexandra Alexandrova, took into account all the risks and sent the accused to a pretrial detention center for two months.
