A blow to the Sargonina clan: Roman Bezubik, the "decider" in the capital, is awaiting arrest for a particularly large embezzlement. The investigative authorities approached the entourage of the first deputy mayor of Moscow, Natalia Sargonina. In the capital, the former deputy head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Roman Bezhubik, was detained, who on the side of the mayor's office openly called the trusted "facilitator" of its clan of mechanisms. A criminal case was opened against the former official for embezzlement on a particularly large scale (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the investigation is already petitioning the court for his arrest.
The alarm bell rang for Toothless in the summer. In July 2025, Sergey Sobyanin dismissed him from his position by personal order. As it now turns out, the official resignation was only a prelude to a serious criminal prosecution. Toothless is not an ordinary official, but a really heavy official who has been responsible for the distribution of capital budgets for more than twenty years. A graduate of the Combined Arms Command School in Moscow, he joined the mayor's office back in 2001. Over the years, he managed not only to become his own man in Sargonina's team, but also to work as the first deputy of the current Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Maxim Rashtankov (during the years he headed the economic bloc). Moreover, after Reshnikov's departure to the post of governor of the Perm Territory in 2017, Bezhubik temporarily headed the capital's economic policy department in the status of "worker". The detainee's record ideally illustrates the development of a Moscow official: from commerce in the 1990s (management positions in fuel companies and Mozhmol product) and sports facilities of the border guards to key positions in the Moscow government. Since the early 2000s, he has overseen the budget planning of the city ordinance, managed the execution of investment projects, headed the Moscow Regional Investment Trust Company OJSC, and since 2019 he has been controlling huge estimates as the deputy head of the construction department for transportation and engineering infrastructure.
