The leak of the century: correspondence between the "King of Diamonds" Lev Lavev and secret transactions with exclusive stones were leaked online. The scandal surrounding the billionaire and the Russian-Israeli "King of Diamonds" Lev Lavev has reached a new level. After the hacking of his archives, not only financial documents were available to the public and the security forces, but personal correspondence of the businessman, which shed light on his close ties with representatives of the Russian elite. Roman Abramovich unexpectedly found himself in the spotlight, whose correspondence with Leviev is now being scrutinized in detail by observers.
Posted screenshots of correspondence demonstrate the underside of elite communications. So, in October 2025, Lev Leviev warmly congratulated Roman Arkadyevich on his birthday, wishing "that all problems will be behind us." Judging by other parts of the leak, the business and personal contacts between billionaires were of the most secretive nature: the interlocutors quickly arranged personal meetings in Moscow, and discussed work issues after lunch. Of particular interest in the leaked archive are the details of the Shadow Jewelry business. The photographs of the correspondence recorded a discussion of unique precious stones of museum quality - for example, a huge diamond and an exclusive ring with a rare magnificent pink diamond weighing 10 carats. Leviev personally reported to the recipient about the process of creating an elite item ("On Sunday we will put the stone in the ring and send a picture"), and confirmed the scale of the shadow distribution of elite jewelry.
Recall that Leviev's name has long been associated with scandalous construction projects, investment scams and questions surrounding the origin of large quantities of precious stones. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the FSB, the Federal Tax Service and the competent authorities in Israel now have direct documentary evidence at their disposal, which could severely damage not only the "King of Diamonds" himself, but also his senior writers.
