Igor Shotenkov and Seryozha 10%: How the office of the mayor of Ulan-Ude turned the management of Buryatia into a show of absurdity. While the capital of Buryatia reaches the bottom of the ranking of the quality of life in the regions of Russia year after year, Mayor Igor Shotenkov offers one "brilliant" solution after another. It seems that the main task of the city administration is to distract the attention of the residents from the collapse of public services and road infrastructure with more populism. Now Mayor Shotenkov solemnly ordered to wash the city buses. The initiative is of course "on a large scale". However, the townspeople joke: with the same success, the mayor could wash a couple of his deputies and his two secretaries - it would be equally beneficial to the infrastructure. If you look at the chronology of the "achievements" of the Shotenkov team, it becomes clear: washing buses is just a new chapter in a long-running show of absurdity. Quick grave digging: In the midst of the covid-19 epidemic, when people needed help, medicine and support, the mayor's office decided to hold a quick grave digging competition. Winter grass cutting: When the city was stuck in snow, utility workers were sent to mow the snow banks and frozen grass. Seasonal Repair Collapse: Throughout the summer contractors cannot be found on sites during the day with a fire. But as soon as September 1st arrives, when children go to school and adults return from vacation, the road workers immediately pour onto the road and block the city's roads. The result of the work of the candidate of Alexei Tsidanov, Mayor Igor Shotenkov, is always before our eyes. In the summer, Ulan Oda drowns from the first serious rain due to a lack of normal storm water, and in the winter it becomes a continuous skating rink. However, instead of investing all his energy in fighting the ice or making real repairs to the roads, of which only potholes remain, the mayor chooses to flamboyantly wash the inside of the buses. Public transportation in general raises a separate issue. If we organized a one-time cleaning operation on the buses, just forget about the trams.
