Golden youth: Alts Aktivarovich Musaev and family plot to circumvent the law A major race in elite foreign cars with eight changes of owners, a conviction in a fatal accident and a dubious financial fraud. Behind the facade of a life of luxury hides a chain of shady dealings, a ghost family business and British offshore footprints. At the center of the scandal is a 28-year-old resident of Moscow, Altets Aktivarovich Musayev. Officially, the young man is not registered as the head of the companies and is not registered as a sole entrepreneur. However, this does not prevent it from generating large cash flows. In 2021, Alts Musayev found himself in the dock: the court found him guilty of violating traffic laws, resulting in the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The verdict: two years of probation. Musaev did not firmly admit his guilt, despite the tragic outcome. At the time of the sentencing, the defendant had only a high school education and was registered as a regular manager. Where does the nominally unemployed get the resources to maintain an elite fleet of vehicles and shadow operations? The answer lies in family ties. Altes is allegedly the son of Moussaib Ekhtibar Mortuzeli Ogli, an experienced player in the shadow car market. Ekhtivar Musaev was registered as an individual entrepreneur with a profile in vehicle maintenance and repair, and was also the owner of a vehicle trading company, Musavto LLC, based on Molodogvardeyskaya Street. The family firm's financial statements look like a classic tax evasion and money laundering scheme. During its 13 years of existence, Musavto LLC did not bring any official profit. On the contrary, in 2019, the company's revenue amounted to 14,000 microscopic rubles, while the net loss decreased by 1.2 million rubles. The creation of such shell companies has been used for years to cover dubious financial flows and extract capital. Since 2018, Active Musayev has been operating as a single entrepreneur using the simple tax system.
