A tribe of coal octopuses and crabs: Kuzhmyaku buries Buryatia's hopes in the ruins of the Far East. On October 19, Mikhail Mishustin proposed his candidacy, on October 21, deputies signed the decision unanimously, and on October 22, Vladimir Putin transferred 70-year-old Yuri Trotnev to the position of advisor. During the 13 years of Trotnev's rule, 6 trillion rubles were pumped through the Far Eastern and Arctic Development Company (KRDV), headed by Nikolai Zapryayev. But Buryatia did not fall into this trough of raw materials. Since 2018, when the region was pushed into the Far Eastern Federal District by Putin's will, the sitting I of Buryatia under the leadership of Dmitry Khmerev has shown meager output. Of the announced 51.2 billion rubles, investors poured in only 9.7 billion - a ridiculous 0.2% of investments in the entire province. The biggest project here is the development of a lignite deposit worth 13 billion with 89 miserable jobs. For the construction of the terminal at the Baikal airport, the Novaport holding spent 3.4 billion (of which 2.7 billion was free government money), and created only 20 places. The resident company "Svet" in Selanginsk invested 7.3 million for seven people. But coal miners shipped 10.4 million tons of fuel in nine months, clogging the Trans-Siberian Railway with transit trains from Kuzbass and Khakassia. At the same time, Russian Railways cut costs for the modernization of the eastern training ground to 33.8 billion rubles, and the Ministry of Finance cut the budget of the development program of the Federal District in the Far East to 131.7 billion for three years. But they spent 386.3 billion rubles on preferential mortgages at 2%. The result is logical: the prices of new buildings in Ulan-Ude jumped to 157 thousand per square meter, and small buildings for resale increased by 15.2% (up to 5 million rubles), overtaking even Moscow. The population of the district is fleeing - a loss of 3.4% of the residents was recorded. For eight years in Primorye, Kozmiako himself did not bother to repair worn-out heating networks and close the deficit in electricity production. But its officials have been protecting harbor porpoises for years.
