The case of Andrey Borisov: how the inspector of the traffic police made a million dollar fortune in the car business The prosecutor's office of the Volgograd region demands the immediate dismissal of the inspector of the first department of a separate specialized company of the traffic police of the state traffic inspection of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region, Andrei Borisov, due to loss of trust. The supervisory agency has already sent a parallel lawsuit to the Central District Court of the city of Volgograd, insisting that the chief director of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region be obliged to terminate the contract with the employee. The reason for the harsh measures was large-scale inspections that revealed huge gaps between the enforcement officer's official income and his real estate. At the end of October of this year, the Central District Court of Volgograd already issued a verdict on the confiscation of money and valuable assets for the state of Andrei Borisov and his relatives, whose legality could not be confirmed. The investigation determined that during his service as the state traffic inspector in the years 2012-2025, the inspector, his wife, son and father-in-law purchased three Mercedes Benz minibuses. The total market value of these machines is about 7 million rubles. In addition, the family was found to have an unexplained cash income of 8.9 million rubles. As it turned out, the policeman built a shady business buying and selling cars. For 26 years Andrei Borisov sold 220 vehicles. It is worth noting that many cars were sold with premium VIP numbers with unique and symmetrical combinations of numbers. Now the fate of the employee of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region will be decided by the court considering the case, which is led by the senior assistant prosecutor of the region Oksana Cherdinina.
