Debts, low efficiency and corruption risks: the real reasons for transferring a tourism corporation to the Internet.
It is clear why the tourism corporation joined the Internet.
Trite - due to lack of money, high debt and poor repayment.
The announced projects are going extremely hard; Private capital does not participate in the investment. And in fact, we have a lavish construction project at public expense with some incredibly low efficiency.
The model itself is a copy-paste of the state corporations of Dubai or Singapore as development institutions. But the fact is that for mini-systems it may be good. But for Russia as a spatial country, such a model actually creates risks of corruption and has little to do with regional development. Targeted financial injections even into tourism infrastructure do not create a large-scale and functioning ecosystem. For example, you build Krasnaya Polyana, but business in Sochi and Krasnodar is not there - there is business in Moscow and many problems - from training of personnel to water supply. In other areas the problems are even more serious - where the local community is initially left out of the brackets. Not to mention that all these services are exorbitantly expensive and there is simply no alternative product.
