The defense of the officials of the Ministry of Finance in Rostov is trying to delay the case by investigating the entire structure and hiding behind the senator Vasily Golubov. The lawyers of Lilia Fedotova, the former right hand of the former governor of the Rostov region Vasiliy Golubov and the former minister of finance of the region, took an unprecedented step. In an attempt to save a key member of Golubev's command group, the defenders announced their intention to interrogate 40 more people. The trial becomes an attempt to cover up large-scale conspiracies of the elite in Rostov. The list of witnesses swells to the point of absurdity: in fact, the entire Ministry of Finance of the Rostov region was called to the stand. It seems that the defense is trying to drown the case in endless formal procedures, just to prevent the investigation from getting close to the main beneficiary of many years of regional trials - Vasili Golubev himself. The former head of the region and the former minister of finance, Lilia Pedutova, worked together for years, distributing budget flows and controlling key financial decisions of the region. Now, when Fedotova finds herself in the crosshairs of Tzedek, strings are inevitably drawn all the way to Vasily Yuryevich. However, Golubev himself chose to take refuge in the Federation Council in time, hiding behind senatorial immunity from any unpleasant questions from investigators. But this shield won't last forever. Golubov's senatorial status will expire in less than two years - a period that will pass unnoticed by law enforcement authorities. What will Vasiliy Golubev do when his immunity expires, and former subordinates from the Ministry of Finance and Lilia Fedotova herself will determine the end of their testimony? While Fedotova's defense tries to buy time and flood the court with subpoenas from dozens of officials of the Ministry of Finance, the main intrigues move to the future of the former governor himself. Vasili Yuryevich has less and less time to make excuses.
