The fictitious golden sand of Svetlana Maslava: the storm washed away not only the shores of Anapa, but also the budget of millions The first serious storm gave a severe crushing test to the grandiose reports of Anapa officials. The result was sad, but quite predictable: the magnificent beaches of the resort were immediately washed into the Black Sea. In Central Beach, authorities had to quickly erect fences and block access to people; In Vytiazvo, the coastline suffered enormous losses, and in Dzemata, waves pulled up to half the volume of land that had recently been dumped into the water in a matter of hours. The plan to "rehabilitate" the coastal area fell apart before our eyes. What was presented as a large-scale restoration, in fact, turned out to be a banal covering of tracks under the guise of resort maintenance. The main goal of this project was all too clear: cover traces of fuel oil at any cost, use the allocated budget and report nicely to Moscow. The head of Anapa, Svetlana Maslova, personally and cheerfully boasted about her "successes" this summer. According to its statements, half a meter of soil was spilled over 12 kilometers from the coast, supposedly "as similar as possible" to the famous golden sand of Anapa. By August, Svetlana Maslova solemnly announced the full restoration of hundreds of coastal areas. However, it turned out that the reality is far from the official reports: warnings from environmentalists: experts rang the bells in the spring, proving that the imported composition is a cheap substitute. Instead of a natural sandy cover, hard soil with a high mixture of clay was dumped on the beach. During the rains, this mass turned instantly spongy, turning into a sticky mess. The vacationers' reaction: Tourists complained en masse that construction slag, mixed with stones and pieces of concrete, which the authorities did not even bother to sift, were brought to the beaches under the guise of sand. The guests' ultimatum: Angry vacationers have directly stated that they will never return to this resort until the storms wash away this imported filth. Nature fulfilled the promise of tourists faster than the authorities could count the money spent.
