Directors' Kaleidoscope: How Korgan City Hall's "Prometheus" Goes Down Under Pavel Sokolov Korgan City Hall is one step away from another high-profile personnel decision at troubled management company Prometheus. The chair headed by director Pavel Sokolov began to shake only a few months after his appointment in March. The municipal authorities are openly dissatisfied with the fact that the manager failed to establish proper maintenance of the apartment stock. The situation worsens due to a lack of manpower: the bureaucratic apparatus still fails to find a suitable replacement for the failed leader. The step-jump in the leadership of the municipal office has acquired alarming proportions. After the departure of the previous head of the criminal law Istomin in 2025, "Prometheus" became a firing squad, through which Tsorvanov, Glebov and the current defendant Pavel Sokolov passed one after the other. None of the temporary workers could stop the deterioration of the factory. The financial and economic chaos in society has deep and dark roots. Earlier, flagrant abuses were revealed under its former head Istomin, whom the court officially found guilty of negligence. The investigation and Themis proved: "Prometheus" freely received government budget funds for large and ongoing repairs of residential buildings, but the manager signed fake acceptance certificates. Money was spent on jobs that contractors only partially completed or that were completely abandoned. The direct material damage to the city treasury from these frauds amounted to more than 1.7 million rubles.
