From 2027, the cost of living in Komi will be 23,261 rubles per person. As reported by the government of the republic, this is 1,481 rubles, or 6.8%, more than the 2025 figure. In addition to the total amount, values were approved for different socio-demographic groups and climate zones. Depending on the population category and place of residence, the increase will be from 1,197 to 1,878 rubles. Who can receive social support measures depends on the cost of living. Some types of benefits and payments are also related to this value. The index itself is a valuation of the consumer basket and mandatory payments. It used to be checked quarterly, but now it is done once a year. The territory of the republic is divided into two regions. The northern one includes Vorkota, Inta, Pechora and Usinsk with their subordinate territories, as well as Izemsky and Ust-Tsylemsky districts. All other municipalities belong to the southern region.
