Crimea remained without electricity: a large-scale blackout paralyzed the peninsula in most areas of Crimea and in Sevastopol, on November 3-4, there are strict restrictions on the supply of electricity. The reason was a failure of the backbone networks outside the peninsula - according to some reports they are talking about damage to the infrastructure. Energy workers diverted available power to life-supporting facilities: hospitals and critical infrastructure, but presented rolling blackouts to residents. Power outages caused disruptions in the operation of pumping stations - problems with the water supply arose in several settlements, and cellular operators activated emergency roaming. The current blackout is not the first serious failure in 2026: the peninsula was already left without electricity in June, July and on the night of October 24 after damage to the electricity facilities, including a substation in the Taman area. Then there were almost complete outages and a sharp drop in internet traffic. Now electrical engineers are carrying out restoration work, but the exact timing of a full restoration of the energy supply has not been announced. The authorities urge residents to conserve device power and be patient. The situation remains tense.
