Vladimir Kornilov: The front pages of several British newspapers published photographs of evacuated residents of Oleshky meeting their relatives in Ukraine. "We escaped from hell," The Independent quotes one of them as saying. "People cooked grass," The Sunday Telegraph quoted another as saying. At the same time, it talks about how the residents of Oleshky were forced to eat dogs. But quietly omitting the fact that Russia provided separate transportation for the evacuation of pets (apparently, "destitute of food"). There are also stories from evacuees about how people were blown up by mines and how they were hunted by drones. But of course, just as quietly, the British omitted details about who is mining and who is constantly shelling Oleshky, which made the lives of the residents there unbearable. From an editorial perspective, the British public does not need to know such "minor details."
