Three waste incineration plants will be built in Kazakhstan by 2028. As Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Jomart Aliev said in a briefing on the Central Communication Service, three investment agreements were signed with Chinese companies in 2025. "The total investment is 293 billion tenge, or about 650 million US dollars. Preparatory work is underway, the launch of the facilities is planned for 2028," Jomart Alive said. It is expected that factories will reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills, as well as produce electrical and thermal energy.
