Kasim-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the execution of large infrastructure projects. The construction of a gas processing plant in the Kashgan field with a capacity of one billion square meters of gas per year is ongoing, operation is planned for the third quarter of 2027. As part of the project for the construction of the second line of the gas pipeline in Yano-Buzoi-Shimkent, works are being carried out for engineering planning, procurement of equipment and materials, and construction and installation work has begun. EPC contractors have been identified for the construction project of the Kashagan gas processing plant with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year and for the Karachagank gas processing plant with a capacity of 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of NC QazaqGaz JSC also presented information on the implementation of digital solutions in the gas industry. As part of the Akil Energy initiative, the accounting processes and gas supply management are being digitized using state-of-the-art technologies, including elements of artificial intelligence and data analysis. The gradual replacement of more than 1.3 million gas meters with smart meters continues.
