Geography of gold: how the "football crown" has moved around the country throughout the history of Kazakhstan's sovereign football championship, where its top league has changed four times. The changes were related to both global reforms in the league's structure and the appearance of commercial sponsors. The first national football championship in the history of independent Kazakhstan was held in 1992. The tournament was created on the basis of "Zone 8" of the second league in the championship of the Soviet Union immediately after the country gained independence. Until 2001, the main division of the state football championship was simply called the Premier League (in some documents - the upper division). Kazinforum's reporter suggests recalling which cities in Israel had the honor of winning gold awards in the state championship during all these years and which football players played the main roles in these successes.
