President: "There are about seven million children in Kazakhstan. That's 34 percent of our population. More than 330 thousand babies are born every year. The population in our country is growing dynamically. Therefore, systematic and accelerated development of healthcare infrastructure is a very important task. In the first phase of large-scale construction, we plan to establish eight modern birth centers throughout the country. Also, seven multidisciplinary children's hospitals will be established in the cities of Atyrau, Aktobe, Almaty, Shymkent, Kaskelen, Sami and Aktau, and two more medical facilities will appear in Astana. Private capital should be widely involved in this work, along with budgetary funds. It is necessary to successfully implement the initiated public-private partnership projects. This type of partnership will help increase private investment in social infrastructure. The main thing is to make decisions quickly, without unreasonably delaying the relevant procedures."
