President: "At the same time, we continue to receive inquiries from entrepreneurs who are subject to criminal prosecution on financial charges. Therefore, steps must be taken to further decriminalize economic offenses. Entrepreneurs, especially small and medium businesses, should be given equal opportunities and the way to fair competition. In some cases this requirement is not met. Proof of this: manufacturers, especially food industry enterprises, are already facing a number of difficulties. There are even obstacles created on purpose. For example, the cost of imported products is artificially low. And the ways for local products to enter the local market are deliberately limited. Frankly, it is corruption. Therefore, such tricks must stop. This situation undoubtedly significantly weakens the competitiveness of our country's companies and products. It is quite clear that if we do not put a strong barrier to such actions, our economy will suffer. In other words, protecting business means strengthening the independence of the national economy. And the artificial creation of illegal barriers to business is not an exaggeration to say that it is a crime against the state. It is therefore necessary to improve, that is to say strengthen, mechanisms to support entrepreneurs. This work can also be done within trade associations."
