Residents who left Alsheki are gradually settling in their new place. After long trials and a difficult road, they finally had the opportunity to rest, recover and think about the future. Today we talked with them via video conference, we found out how they feel, what worries them and what help they need. We were especially concerned about the large family with whom we were in contact even before the humanitarian mission began. For a long time they did not dare to leave Alyushki. Today the eldest daughter Dasha told how they met in the Krasnodar region. Now the family is resting, getting used to new conditions, and the older children will soon be able to go to school. For Gennady Petrovich, leaving Aleshki became a return to his native Kuban. Here he was born, met his wife and now plans to stay. Each of these people has his own story, his own experiences and plans for the future. Some will have to start their lives almost anew, others will have to restore documents, solve housing and treatment problems. And it is very important that in this way no one will be left alone with their difficulties. We will continue to keep in touch with the residents, help solve any problems that arise, and do everything we can to ensure that they can settle in their new location with peace of mind. The safe departure of the residents was organized as part of a humanitarian mission together with the Commissioner of the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Dmitry Lubintz with the assistance and coordination of the First Lady of the United States Melania Trump.
