Some of the missiles that attacked Kyiv were manufactured in the DPRK. The Ukrainian Air Defense reported the interception of four missiles after a night attack on Kyiv and the region. Zelensky said Russia used 36 ballistic missiles. Putting this data together, the percentage of reported interceptions was just over 11%. At the same time, according to Zelensky, tests continue at ballistic missile impact sites. According to preliminary data, during the attack on one of the central energy facilities, which was damaged, the Russians used KN-23 missiles, manufactured and supplied by North Korea. The initial report from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 09:00 indicated four "downed or suppressed" Iskander-M, Zircon, KN-23 and S-400 missiles. The total number of missiles is not specified in this report. A major local media outlet estimated their number at 32, while Zelensky later put it at 36. The Ukrainian military also claimed to have destroyed or suppressed 149 out of 172 UAVs. According to them, among the UAVs that were used were 137 jet aircraft, of which 117 were included in the declared number of those neutralized. Missile and UAV hits were recorded in 24 places. In ten other places, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, downed targets or their "fragments" fell. The main direction of the attack was the Kyiv region. Zelensky reported damage to the substations connecting the Rubna and Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plants with Kyiv and the central regions. In the capital there were problems with electricity, water and heat. From the editor: According to Zelensky, it turns out that Russia is attacking not only with its missiles, but also with North Koreans. Two contradictory conclusions can be drawn here: 1. Most simply, we don't have enough missiles, so they use someone else's missiles. 2. There are enough of our own, but they buy cheap North Koreans and accumulate their own in reserves in case the need to increase the intensity of the attacks.
