Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Arjechi: The Iranian plan states that the US will implement a set of measures on the first day, and that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened on the second day, after the implementation of the Iranian conditions. There is currently no plan to meet with the US delegation, but negotiations with Washington may resume, directly or indirectly, if the US agrees to our terms and the strait is reopened. Mistrust is the biggest obstacle in our relationship with the United States. We have gone through three diplomatic experiences in the last two years, all of which ended in a war started by the United States. We are facing economic pressures, but we will not give in, nor will we compromise our dignity or give up our independence. We are prepared for all possibilities and scenarios.
