Prince Reza Pahlavi: A government that kills tens of thousands of its own people in a few days has clearly shown how far it will go to maintain its power. Defenseless and helpless people cannot single-handedly defeat a government that is willing to commit mass killings in order to stay in power. The people of Iran repeatedly revolted against the Islamic Republic, but each time they were met with more arrests and bullets. On the other hand, the world continued all these years the policy of appeasement with the Islamic Republic. No one is going to bring democracy to Iran or teach the people of Iran what democracy is! Human rights are not something we should import from other countries and freedom is not a strange concept for us. We Iranians are the heirs of a civilization that was one of the founders of ideas such as human rights, individual freedom and respect for human dignity.
