Pazkhian: Avoid paying subsidies to those who don't need President at the Government Information Council meeting: The government's goal is to reduce the level of inflation and the cost of living in the border districts and disadvantaged areas of Tehran by taking operational measures. Mechanisms must be designed so that the goods reach the residents of the disadvantaged areas at a more appropriate price and price stability is also maintained. The public resources of the country belong to the people and should not be distributed equally and regardless of the level of income and needs of the households. The government has the duty to direct its support to those who really need it. One of the important tasks of this council is to convince and prepare society to accept the necessity of reforming the subsidy distribution system. We must inform people of the goals and needs of this decision by discussing and explaining the rationale of the policy. It cannot be accepted that the water, electricity and gas in the country are subsidized by privileged people, but the needy households do not have enough support. At the very least, one should avoid paying subsidies to those who do not need them, and direct the resulting resources to support low-income groups.
