The IDF today began a military exercise in various areas that will last a week and its purpose is to measure the readiness of the forces to deal with emergency situations on several fronts. In a statement, the IDF announced that this exercise includes the activation of search, rescue and assistance capabilities in the sharing of forces and means of assistance and the simulation of complex scenarios in the home front. According to this statement, during the exercise, extensive movement of soldiers and military vehicles will be observed in different areas. The IDF announced that this exercise is already included in the training plan for 2026 and is not related to a specific security warning. This exercise is a continuation of a series of exercises and military movements by Israel on the home front, in the West Bank, in the Gaza Strip, in Lebanon and in Syria, which was conducted with the aim of increasing preparation for the possibility of an escalation of tensions and simultaneous activity on several fronts. On October 25, the IDF began a large-scale ground and air exercise with the participation of four military divisions and the Air Force in the areas of the West Bank and the occupied Syrian Golan. Before that, on October 20, the Gaza army conducted a large-scale exercise in the presence of Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the IDF. Zamir said then that the army strengthened its forces on various fronts and raised the level of alertness. In September, the IDF also increased the level of alertness on the fronts in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank and sent additional forces to these areas. The Israeli media, citing a military source, reported that the army maintained its readiness to transition from the ceasefire to the renewal of the conflict, and this preparation includes the possibility of another confrontation with Iran.
