Huge profits of American oil and gas companies during the war with Iran The war was expensive for the people; The American oil giants earned 130 billion dollars! According to Firstpost, American oil and gas companies made more than $130 billion in profits between April and September 2026, at the same time as the Iran war and the disruption of global energy supplies. This figure is almost three times the profit of less than 47 billion dollars of the same companies in the same period of 2025; A significant jump was accompanied by an increase in the global price of oil and fuel products. While American consumers paid more for gasoline and diesel, the nation's refineries benefited from reduced global refining capacity and increased profit margins. This report shows that the energy crisis caused by the war, in addition to imposing costs on consumers, greatly increased the profitability of the American oil industry.
