In Cairo, the UN Secretary General warned against the escalation of regional tensions and the possibility of a renewal of the American war with Iran, and emphasized the need for diplomatic efforts to prevent a large-scale military conflict and its consequences for the region and the world. At a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti in Cairo, Antonio Guterres said: "A large-scale military attack against Iran and an all-out Iranian attack on the Gulf states must be avoided at all costs, the consequences of such a situation will be unimaginable and will reach beyond the borders of the region.
