US judge blocks Trump administration's pressure on states to vote without citizens A federal judge has temporarily barred the Trump administration from sending states lists of suspected noncitizen voters and asking them to separate or not count their votes. Washington District Court Judge Tanya Chetken ruled that the government's information may not be reliable, and the implementation of this program could deprive eligible citizens of the right to vote. The ruling is the latest legal hurdle for the Trump administration in its efforts to increase federal control over the election process ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
