Al-Jazeera's exclusive interview with Seyed Abbas Arjachi, Minister of Foreign Affairs/8 wrote: The escalation of tensions in Yemen by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia is an important issue. Critical targets, including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, civilian airports and oil facilities were targeted. On the other hand, Iran is one of the main supporters of the Houthi movement in Yemen and maintains close ties with them. Was this topic raised during the trip and the meetings? Dr. Argachi: On the sidelines of the meeting, this topic was also discussed. It really saddens us that Muslim brothers are fighting each other. Of course, Yemen issues have their own historical complications and it is a very complicated issue. The war in Yemen has been going on for years and the siege on the people of this country has been going on for years. On the other hand, Ansarullah decided to confront and defend themselves. As I said, it is unfortunate for us that Muslim brothers resort to war to resolve their differences. We have declared a willingness to help both sides of this war. If help comes from us to end this war, we are ready and if we ask, we will help to end this war. We told this to our brothers in Saudi Arabia and we also told our brothers in Yemen. Dialogues between them, as well as dialogues mediated by various parties, continue. If we ask for any help, we will. Reporter: Dr. Argachi, is the escalation of tensions on the part of the Houthis in Yemen related to the wider crisis between Iran and the US? Is Iran somehow supporting this escalation of tensions through military, financial and political support for this group? Are these developments related to the main crisis between Iran and America? Dr. Argachi: In general, everything is connected; especially in the region, the problems are interconnected. Even Mr. Macron in France believes that his country's problems are related to the Iran war. Mr Mertes also claims in Germany that Europe suffered because of the Iran war. Everything is connected. But if we look more closely, we are facing two different phenomena. The war in the Strait of Hormuz has its own roots and reasons. The war in Bab al-Mandab also has its own roots and reasons.
