Al Jazeera's exclusive interview with Seyed Abbas Arakhchi / 3 reporter: Americans can't accept any agreement without returning the inspectors as a first step?
Do they expect Iran to take specific action on the nuclear program within five, seven or two days? Including returning the inspectors and accepting it, reducing the level of enrichment and announcing it or announcing readiness to evacuate uranium enriched to 60% or higher? Dr. Argachi: Iran is a member of the NPT and has always met its obligations under the NPT. But there is also a fact and that is that our nuclear facilities, which were under the supervision of the Agency and within the framework of the Agency's protective measures, were subjected to a military attack. This is a completely new topic in the nuclear debate and nuclear facilities in the world. There is no history of how many nuclear facilities have been attacked by military force. It was a big red line that the Americans and Israel crossed. It is natural that this matter caused a disturbance in our relationship with the agency. There are many questions and uncertainties between us and the agency; Or rather, we have a lot of questions and concerns about the agency. The agency does not have a protocol for inspecting facilities that have been attacked. There is no method that specifies how these facilities should be tested. Therefore, we have a long way to go to reach a point with the agency where a common understanding will be created between us, our concerns will be resolved and the possibility of proper cooperation will arise again. In our opinion, this is also one of the topics that can be discussed after the completion of the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. If we have a nuclear deal one day, the agency will play a role. But as I said, we are talking about two agreements, the agreement on opening the Strait of Hormuz has its own conditions, which have nothing to do with nuclear, this matter can be implemented. The second issue is the agreement on Iran's nuclear program, which has its own conditions. First, trust must be built, and then, when the necessary trust is created, we will enter into a dialogue and act correctly based on the outcome of the dialogue.
