Collapse of part of a bridge in Italy disrupted traffic A part of bridge number 11 at the intersection of the two highways A2 and A30 on the route between Salerno and Avellino, Italy, collapsed on Thursday, October 29, causing disruption to the movement of cars on this highway. The debris caused by the fall fell on a "Smart" car passing under the bridge and damaged it, but there were no casualties in this incident. Preliminary estimates show that the collision of a truck carrying a mechanical excavator on the bridge was probably the cause of the accident.
