The Pentagon has cut Trump's military budget of $1.5 trillion The American Politico website reported, citing knowledgeable sources, that the Pentagon and the Appropriations Committees of the American Congress are examining the military budget of approximately $1.1 trillion; A figure that is about 400 billion dollars less than the 1.5 trillion budget demanded by Donald Trump. Based on this report, the Pentagon also estimated that the cost of the war with Iran reached at least 47 billion dollars. This cost estimate was not accepted by many US senators; Not long ago, five Democratic senators demanded, in a letter to the commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), to make public the estimate of the damage caused to US military bases in the region. Politico warned that the budget cuts could slow the process of rebuilding the American weapons stockpile that was reduced during the war with Iran and affect the Pentagon's ability to buy new weapons and conclude defense contracts.
