Tasnim reporter released in Israel after 450 days of captivity Farah Abu Ayash, reporter of the Tasnim news agency in the West Bank, was released moments ago from Israeli prison after spending 450 days in captivity and returned to his family. Farah Abu Ayash was arrested on the morning of August 6, 2025, during a night attack by the IDF on his home in Beit Amr, located in the north of Hebron. This heroic Palestinian journalist was arrested and tortured only for covering the news and developments in the southern West Bank for the "Tasnim" news agency. The process of dealing with the case of this Palestinian journalist was delayed many times due to Israeli disruption, and this caused Farah to spend his captivity in the state of administrative detention in Israel's notorious Damon Prison. Finally, Israel's Ofer Military Court acquitted Farah Abu Ayash of all charges. Tasnim Azadi News Agency congratulates this brave and resilient reporter to him and his family and the resistance media community.
