Bakay: Trump's clear admission of violating Islamabad's understanding is a double scandal for American purists. The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Email Bakay, wrote on Channel X in response to the US President's admission of violating the memorandum of understanding to end the war. President Trump's admission that he never believed in the Islamabad agreement and considers it a waste of time proved once again how indifferent America is to its commitments. Of course, this issue is not new for Iran. Washington has a long history of breaking agreements, and sees its international commitments as disposable goods, which it simply discards when it is difficult or undesirable to meet them. Even so, there is no justification for European countries and other justifiers of Washington's actions to continue to whitewash America's illegal behavior and make that country immune from accountability. A breach of duty cannot be justified; International law cannot be applied selectively; Washington cannot be exempted from answering for its wrongdoings by creating an atmosphere and a political reversal.
