Maxi, who had earlier initiated the impeachment proceedings against Gast following the US war against Iran, accused him of starting and illegally continuing the war, ignoring the congressional order to withdraw from the war, and causing unnecessary civilian casualties. Congress is expected to vote on Guest's impeachment after he returns to Washington next month.
