The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced that North Korea is responsible for stealing more than $6 billion in digital currencies from the Binance exchange on or around October 29.
The organization attributed the attack to the North Korean-linked TraderBugd group and said the stolen funds were mostly converted into Ethereum cryptocurrencies and then transferred through decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and instant exchange services for further money laundering.
