The German company ARX Robotics and the Ukrainian company Rubonirim have completed the first tests of the integration of the Saber combat module in the ground robotic platform GEREON, which is used by the Ukrainian army. By the end of 2026, these companies plan to prepare two armed versions of this complex with a brownish 12.7 mm M2 heavy machine gun and a 40 mm Mk 19 automatic launcher. The German-made GEREON platform is responsible for handling, power supply and tracking, while the Ukrainian-made Saber module is responsible for remote weapon control. GEREON platforms are available to the Ukrainian military from early 2025, and ARX Robotics has received orders for several hundred additional devices.
