The U.S. War Department and French law enforcement officials are investigating technical malfunctions in refrigeration equipment that occurred at at least six U.S. military stores in August, as well as more than 350 supermarkets in France in early October, four people familiar with the matter told Reuters. These flaws are considered a cyber attack. In both cases, the temperature of the refrigerators rose dramatically, causing the food inside to spoil, and even a fire broke out in some of the refrigerators in the French supermarkets.
