Defense Minister Israel Katz accused Gadi Eisenkot and his Ishar party of running a "false, irrelevant and undemocratic election system" and criticized their repeated promises to oust senior military and security officials. Katz urged the senior IDF not to be moved by what he says are "threats" from Eisenkot and other security personnel. He accused these people of using the differences between the military and political leadership over Iran as an election issue. "The IDF was a full partner in the great achievements against the Islamic Republic, participated in all the discussions and implemented all the necessary decisions."
