The Persian Gulf countries are working on a multi-part peace plan to prevent the renewal of war between the US and Iran. According to this plan, the Strait of Hormuz must be reopened no later than four days after the sanctions are lifted, and the Houthis must also withdraw a significant portion of their forces inside Yemen. Ali Bagri, deputy secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said that Tehran is ready to reduce the deadline for reopening the Strait of Hormuz from seven days to four days. European diplomats see the return of UN arms inspectors to Iran as one of the minimum conditions for progress in negotiations with America; however, Iran has so far resisted this issue.
