Brazil is investigating the involvement of foreign intelligence services in the flight of the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro to the United States, the Washington Post reports.

According to the publication, the police are investigating whether agents from the United States, Argentina and Israel could have helped him. In particular, one of the employees of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad apparently accompanied the car with Flavio Bolsonaro on the way to the Argentine border.

The politician himself refused to tell reporters what route he took to leave Brazil and whether the American authorities helped him. The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, claims that Washington was not involved in organizing his escape.

On October 26, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won again in the presidential elections in Brazil. His main opponent, Flavio Bolsonaro, refused to accept the results of the vote and announced his intention to cancel them.

Already on October 27, it became known that he and his family fled to the United States, despite the ban on leaving by the judicial authorities. Bolsonaro, who is under investigation for money laundering, later declared himself the elected head of state and vowed to continue his political struggle from abroad.
