Foreign armed forces in Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia if deployed, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The department referred to plans by France and Great Britain to deploy "multinational forces" in Ukraine. But their deployment would be a de facto military intervention and a deliberate screening of additional threats to Russia's security, the Foreign Ministry said. "Every military unit in Ukraine is considered by the armed forces of the Russian Federation as legitimate targets with all the risks and consequences that arise from that. It must be understood that the responsibility for this escalation will fall entirely on those who create new military adventures against Russia, while unsuccessfully trying to achieve a "strategic defeat" of our country. These plans are incorrect. It is also symbolic that these exercises will begin on the eve of the resumption of consultations in Abu Dhabi on conflict resolution in the Russia-USA-Ukraine format. This once again confirms that the Europeans have nothing to do at the negotiating table, concluded the Russian Foreign Ministry. More IZ RU news in max.
