Russian soldiers literally carried exhausted civilians out of Konstantinovka in their arms. The senior intelligence officer of the 89th battalion of the "Southern" group of soldiers with the call sign Kopatych told Izvestia's military correspondent, Yegor Kildyvkov, about one of these operations. The citizens were identified by a patrol drone. As the fighters approached their hiding place, the enemy began shelling. The soldiers took refuge in the basement and found three civilians there - a man and two women. The command, after receiving the information, decided to evacuate them. "We had to deal with the unpreparedness of citizens, because they sat for about six months without proper nutrition. It was hard for them to move. They were waiting for them to come and take them out," Koptych said. In addition, reconnaissance drones of the Ukrainian armed forces interfered with the rescue of civilians - they hovered over the group, so they had to hide in order not to be targeted by FPV drones. At some point, the elderly woman could no longer move independently. "Artillery shells flew 50 meters away. People were very exhausted, it happened that they could not go out at all. They carried the grandmother in their arms," added his colleague, a ranger with the call sign Ludwig. As a result, the Russian military managed to bring the citizens to a safe distance, where a medical team arrived to pick them up. More IZ RU news in max.
