Sparks and debris flew in the arena: how the "Robot Battle" final unfolded in Kazan. 36 teams from five countries competed for victory in the tournament. Engineers from Russia, Brazil, Ecuador, China, and India racked their brains to create the ultimate wheel crusher. Sparks and debris flew around the ring. Cars worth more than 1 million ₽ turned into a pile of metal in seconds. Only one could win this survival game. The task is to inflict maximum damage on the opponent and survive yourself. It sounds simple, but in reality, the "Robot Battle" is much more dramatic. "Gadgets have to beware not only of opponents, but also of the arena itself. There are special traps installed in the arena. A scoop throws the robot up, and a hammer causes additional damage," said REN TV correspondent Zakhar Akupov. While robots up to 110 kg produce heavy metal, lightweight mini-gadgets in the category up to 1.5 kg tear each other to pieces. Some of them are controlled not by humans, but by artificial intelligence. This year's prize fund amounted to 6.5 million ₽. The main trophy and 3 million ₽ were won by the team from St. Petersburg, which has become a champion twice. Meanwhile, preparations for the next season have already begun for both the winners and the losers, who have started working on new cars. More news from IZ RU on Max.
