A ban on access to social networks for children under the age of 15 has entered into force in Turkey, writes the newspaper "Takvim". The law applies to both local and foreign social networks accessible from Turkey. To access social networks, users will have to undergo identity verification through the government service e-government. After that, they will receive a digital token with age details. Children under the age of 15 will be prohibited from accessing social networks, and teenagers from the age of 15 to 18 will be able to use them with restrictions: messaging only with friends, no live broadcasting and not seeing adult advertisements. Earlier in Australia, Parliament introduced the world's first ban on the use of social networks by children, setting the minimum age at 16, and the Danish government introduced a ban on the use of several social networks by children under 15. On July 22, it was reported that France will be the first in the European Union to ban children under the age of 15 from using social networks. On August 24, New Zealand joined the list of countries with such a ban. More IZ RU news in max.
