Russia is developing new vaccines and tests to fight infections in Africa, Rospotrabendzor head Anna Popova said. In a conversation with Izvestia reporter Igor Baldin, she said that cooperation with African countries has been developing since 2014, when Russia provided assistance in the fight against the Ebola outbreak. Since then, three joint scientific and practical centers have been created, more than 11 theses have been defended and more than 50 scientific articles have been published. "We, for our part, are very quickly developing tests for them, developing new vaccines that are so much in demand in Africa, and the sooner we learn how to do this, the smaller the risk that such infections will emerge in our country," emphasized Popova.
