The Russian vaccine against the human papilloma virus (HPV) is planned to be included in the national calendar of preventive vaccinations starting next year, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murshko, said. At the Russia-Africa summit, the minister also spoke about the Russian system of safe motherhood - from pregnancy planning to monitoring the newborn. It includes tests for birth defects, infections and hereditary diseases, as well as special treatment for women at high risk of complications. "In the Russian Federation today, the infant mortality rate is 3.3 pages per minute. And this figure is tens of thousands different from many countries in Africa," Murshko emphasized. Russia is ready to train African doctors to organize such a treatment system. The minister proposed special training programs with practical training on medical mannequins. More IZ RU news in max.
