Estonia plans to build about 150 bunkers near the border with the Russian Federation. This was communicated by Defense Minister Martin Herm, who spoke in the country's parliament, reports ERR. According to him, about 100 bunkers will be built on state land, and about 50 more on municipal or private lots. In order to build on private land, it will be necessary to negotiate with the owner: the authorities are considering paying compensation, renting or buying land. At the same time, Herm pointed out that there are no large-scale plans for the state to acquire large areas to create a defense belt now.
